Staff Profiles

Jeff Sauer, CPA, has an extensive accounting and tax background. Practicing since 1979, he serves clients in a variety of industries including real estate, service industries, wholesale and light manufacturing. His clients include individuals, corporations, S-Corporations, partnership, estate and trusts. He also has expertise in the creation and administration of ESOP’s. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa.

Cindy Koltnow has been with us since 2011. Before joining us, she was in the finance group at the Tennessee Valley Authority and Ingenix (a division of United Health Group). Cindy prepares individuals’ returns, gift tax returns, welfare benefit 5500 returns, assists with business return preparation and works on the firm administration. She is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University.

Rhonda Oye, CPA (inactive) has been with us since 2015. Rhonda assists with individual, partnership, and corporate tax preparation. She spent 10+ years of her career in public accounting and has also held various accounting roles in private industry.

Carrie Melsen, CPA (inactive), joined our team in 2018. She manages the accounting needs of our business and various clients. Prior to joining us, Carrie graduated from the College of St. Benedict with an accounting degree and began her career with Deloitte in August 2005. In 2010, she left public accounting to pursue a tax manager role at Regis Corporation. After two years as a manager, she moved into a director role overseeing the company’s SEC reporting for income taxes and corporate tax compliance. In 2015, Carrie left Regis Corporation in to be a full-time mom until she decided to join our team on a part-time basis.

Nicole Zeches has been with us since 2019. She assists with the daily clerical duties of the office and assists with QuickBooks needs.  Nicole graduated from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota with a degree in Marketing and a Psychology minor.  She started her career in business at Best Buy Corporate HQ in June 2000 where she partnered with business teams on improving their use of retail space, lead training and proficiency for the department, and supervised a small team of employees.  She left Best Buy in 2012 to be a stay-at-home Mom of her twin children.  She is thrilled to join the team now that her twins are in school.

Jo Marcus joined our team in 2020. She spent over 30 years in the retirement plan industry working for financial services firms in the Southeast and New York City. She is also a volunteer tax preparer for the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide program. Jo prepares individual income tax returns and welfare benefits 5500 forms. She is a graduate of Andrews University.

Kevin Brown started with us in 2020. Prior to joining us, he served in a variety of senior management positions for organizations in health care, manufacturing, and philanthropy. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Andrews University and has masters’ degrees from the University of Illinois (Business Administration) and Seattle Pacific University (Information Systems Management). Kevin’s primary focus will be in partnership, corporate, and individual returns, as well as accounting services.

Jill Danico Voyer, EA, joined us in 2022. Jill has been in the tax preparation business since 2002, and, as a military spouse herself, has focused mainly on active duty and retired military, overseas contractors, and small businesses.  She has several years of experience in bank operations, as well as accounting for various CPA firms.  She became an IRS Enrolled Agent in 2020 and is located in Maine. Jill’s primary focus is partnership and individual returns.

Martha McReynolds, EA, joined our team in 2022. Prior to joining our firm, her background was very diverse, including oil and gas accounting/reporting, small business accounting, Controller of a non-profit as well as 30 years’ experience in tax preparation for individuals, S-Corps, Partnerships, Sales and Use Tax, and Payroll Taxes. She is a graduate of Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, and currently lives in Texas. Martha’s primary focus is on partnership, corporate and individual returns, as well as accounting services.

Kari Eller joined our team in 2023. Kari graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1997 with a Sociology Degree. Since then, her path has taken her into advertising and today works for JD Power as an Account Manager. She joined our staff part time in 2023 as an admin to assist with client documentation and product delivery.

Laura Stahl, EA joined our team in 2023. She began her career in the corporate world. As an executive secretary, she was assigned to perform the bookkeeping for her department when the accountant went on leave for a year. She took Accounting I and II soon after starting this function as it peaked her interest in the accounting and tax professions. She remained in the corporate world for more than 10 years before returning to college to obtain her bachelor’s in Paralegal Studies from a division of Kaplan College (FL). She already had an associate’s degree in Humanities/Social Science from County College of Morris in NJ. Laura has served as town clerk/treasurer, while also becoming a location manager for H&R Block. Laura’s focus is on partnerships, s-corporations and individual returns, as well as account management.
